Getting Real

It certainly helps when writers know who their audience is. If my 6th graders know their letters will be sent to the editor of the newspaper, they will take ownership of their writing and do a better job. Similarly, when they write their RICH letters to me on Friday, they know I will respond to their questions, comments, and concerns.
