I'm still a bit afraid of this contraption called a computer. It can do so many things I don't understand, but I've caught on to quite a few. It checks my spelling and my grammar. It allows me to revise without rewriting my whole paper. It shares my ideas with others through email and blogging.
I agree with Marcus that handwriting has been affected; in fact, I think handwriting is becoming a lost art. That aside, when my students turn in a paper to me, I just want to be able to read it.
